Report Continually Refreshing

Hi All,

I had an interesting problem come up today. I have a report that when you preview on vs or click view report on the report server, the report continually refreshes itself. I cannot see that I have written anything different in this report than any other report.

I saw one other append here on a continually refreshing report but that was linked to a document map and this report has not document map.

Has anyone seen this problem of a continually refreshing report?

It's not a big deal as I figure I will just have to write it from scratch again, but I am interested to see if I can stop it before I re-write it.

Thanks in Advance

Peter

Peter, there is option in Report Properties that allows you to set a refresh rate. Click in the body of your report layout and then select Report and then Report Properties from the toolbar. At the bottom of the General tab you should see the option to check AutoRefresh and a number of seconds. Unselect this and the report should stop refreshing.

Hi Cuck,

thanks very much for that...I have no idea how the refresh rate got set to 1 second but that was the problem.

I read about that option when I first started with Report Services but forgot it was there.

Thanks Again.

Replication's books

Hi,
I 'am looking for interesting SQL Server books on replication especially for
2005.
Thanks in adavance for advices,
Laurent
Hilary is the main man for Replication Books.
Check out this link for his Snapshot and Transactional book:
http://www.nwsu.com/0974973602p.html. I know he's working on a merge volume
(think it's finished) and he'll be able to update you on any plans for a SQL
2005 volume.

Try looking at Server Express instead of using Access as the
Subscriber.

|||As far as I recall, Hilary does have a chapter on heterogenous subscribers.
As Mark points out, in the sql world we often replace Access with MSDE/SQL
Server Express and if you can use the SQL Server method, then there will be
more replication functionality available to use but this may or may not be
possible in your case.

|||Check the PDF in the sig. This covers how to replicate to access.
