report builder... click-through to a standard report (not a report builder based report)?

Hi,
In the administration page of RS2005, I see that its possible to specify a
target report for a click-through action.
but, does this report can be a standard reporting services report? (not a
report builder based report)
if yes, how this report must be configured to allow this type of
interaction?

Jerome.ok, not sure i've understood your question as your english isn't that great
so i'll try and answer it.
i think you want to use the drill through function. So right click on the
item/text box/graph or whatever you want to drill through from and select
properties > Advanced > navigation > jump to report > pick a report to jump
to > parameters and assign the parameters.
right hope that answers your question, although this is a solution based on
rs2000 but can't imagine it is much differnt for rs2005.

yes my english is bad...
no, I really mean CLICK through NOT drill through.
The Click through feature is a report builder capability ("infinite click
through") which allow a user to navigate in the data without having to
create a new report by himself.
When the user click (for example) on the # Sales, the system automatically
display the list of these sales with the customer name for example. then the
user click on the customer name and a new report is automatically created to
display the complete detail information of this particular customer. then
the user can click and click etc... number of created report only 1! the
first, all the other reports are created automatically.
but... the administrator can play a little around this by adding information
in the model to open a specific report instead-of the automatically
generated, but this feature appear to works only with a report created with
report builder.
so my question is: can I setup a report builder model to open a standard
reporting services report instead-of the report builder auto-generated one?
and this is a 2005 feature, not a 2000 one.
if you have never tested this, try it now!!!! its really a excellent
feature.

When trying to run Report Builder I am getting the following error;

Report Execution Error

The report might not be valid or the server could not process the data.

An attempt has been made to use a rendering extension that is not registered for this report server.

Anyone come across this error before?

I spent at lot of time on Friday getting the SelfSSL working on the system. It was set up with the name of the computer, I managed to get it working with ComputerName.domain.com/local etc.

I have just come back to Report builder and it now works!! I am writing this just incase it gives you a clue to how I managed to get it working

Using SS2000 data with RS2005. If I build a report with report builder, is
there a way to see what query the report builder is using to generate the
report? I've built a model and created a report from the model. If I create a
query in query analyzer to check the results that are generated by the report
builder report, I'm off by quite a bit. If I could see the query that the
report builder is generating maybe I could figure out where the problem is.

Report Builder File : Save To File menu option.

the simple query of all the columns and the filter condition. You can have a
look at the report model table as well.
