Report Designer tool?

The SQL 2008 product overview word document has a screenshot of "Report Designer"

The screenshot appear to be a new version of the Report Builder tool, but where is this version or this tool?

The new report designer is not available in the first public CTP released earlier this week. It will be in the next public CTP. An early preview and some of the other new features will be shown at TechEd sessions this week.

Report Builder button doesn't appear....

Hi,
I have the latest CTP installed. Users do not see the report builder button.
Only members of the local admin group seem to have it displayed. Can anyone
steer me in the right direction'
AllanI have run into a similar problem on my machine. The Report Builder button
never appears in my report manager home page.
I'm using Windows 2000 workstation with SQL Server 2005 (September)

Manager security group (and indeed every other group) but with no joy. Only
members of Windows Domain Admins group can see the button.
I guess I must be missing something ... ?

Having the same issue, adding a user to the local admin group of the
SQLRS2K5 server has the Report Builder button appearing. Remove the user
from the local admin group, the button goes away.
Trying all other local groups for the user do not resolve the issue. Looking
also for a way to get this to work.

The solution is:
site settings -> Configure site-wide security -> New Role Assignment ->
add user to either 'System Admin' or 'System User'

Report Builder button doesn't appear....

Users must have permission to the Execute Report Definitions task (normally obtained via the System Users role) for the Report Builder button to be displayed.

I have run across. Please see text below that I posted elsewhere:
Report Builder button does not show when an upgrade to Reporting Services
2005 is completed. If a fresh install is done then no problem. I need to do
an upgrade for an existing Reports Server 2000 and want user to have the
Report Builder button. Some docuementation said to set
EnableReportDesignClientDownload to true, but did not say how to do this.
Another document said Enable Report Design Client Button is set to True in
RSWebApplication.config by default. However, this also did not show how to do
this. I need clear and exact step-by-step instructions.

Users that have all possible roles assigned do not see the button on
the web site.
How can I make the button visible?

Report Builder Button does not appear

For users who are not admins on the IIS server the report builder button just doesn't appear. Any idea on why this would be?

Report Builder - Table Triangles

When building a table in report builder from related entities, there appear two small upside-down moveable triangle flags above the column headers. Moving these flags seem to affect the automatic grouping and automatic joins of the table.

Does anyone know what this feature is called? I mean, it cannot really be referred to as "those triangle things." I've searched and cannot find any reference to it. Also, does anyone know how to really use this feature?

These sliders control the equivalent of the "Freeze Panes" feature in Microsoft Excel. They should not affect the grouping structure of the table or the underlying query.
