Report Designer tool?

The SQL 2008 product overview word document has a screenshot of "Report Designer"

The screenshot appear to be a new version of the Report Builder tool, but where is this version or this tool?

The new report designer is not available in the first public CTP released earlier this week. It will be in the next public CTP. An early preview and some of the other new features will be shown at TechEd sessions this week.

Report designer not in VS 2003

I have Reporting services 2000 (Version 8.00.1038.00) installed (installed with installation of MS CRM) and visual studio 2003 installed however, do not have the business intelligence report designer available. Where can I obtain the report designer addin? We don't have a RD 2000 CD. Is what I need available via download?

Try getting the trial version of reporting services & installing the developer components. Not sure if these expire though. You may need to purchase a license for Reporting Services if you would like to use in a production environment. There doesn't appear to be a download for just the designer components for vs 2003, only 2005 Express.

Or you may be able to use fyiReporting or a "common text editor" though I'm not sure who has enough time to edit RDL by hand.

To write reports, Visual Studio .NET 2003 (or Visual Studio 2005) and Report Designer (a component of SQL Reporting Services) is the recommended development environment. These tools must be installed on the computer where the reports are authored. Visual Studio is the primary tool used to create or modify reports. You must also have access to Microsoft CRM to deploy the report.

Not a lot of help there! Did you try using CRM CD?

My question:
Does the end-user reporting tool (report builder) in Sql Server 2005 exist
in the Standard Version or is it only in the Enterprise Version?
I have found a couple of conflicting articles on the web.

complete 180 in the way the company will license SQL Server Reporting
Services and Report Builder. Microsoft was planning to include Report Builder
in SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition but not Standard Edition or other less
expensive SQL Server SKUs. I thought that was going to be a big mistake for
Microsoft, and many people in the SQL Server community agreed with me. But
this week, Microsoft Senior Vice President of Server Applications Paul
Flessner announced that Reporting Services will be included in all editions
of SQL Server 2005. In addition, the Workgroup and Standard Editions of SQL
Server 2005 will include Report Builder."

repodbc.dll and opening error

I get an error when I open SQL Server (MSDE actually and it is a named
instance). For some reason, I have a Dec 17 2002 version of repodbc.dll on
my machine and there is no reference given beyond one that was distributed
in 2000 (dll help database msdn). I read that regsvr32 repodbc.dll would
fix it and on my laptop it fixed fine. It worked on another machine fine as
well. On another machine where I expect the problem to occur, it doesn't.
Finally, on another machine, I unregistered and reregistered the repodbc.dll
and it still did not fix the error. I can look further at it by searching
the machine (belongs to my supervisor so I'm not sure when I'll have the
opportunity to do so) to see what version are there.
Why is there no reference to the repodbc.dll on the dll help database for
the dec 17 2002 version? How did I get the copy? Did it come with an SDK?
Confused.
Giacrepodbc.dll is the Repository Engine used with SQL. It also shipped with
Visual Studio, Small Business Server and
Visual Basic.
The version you have shipped with SQL sp3.
