Report Designer

Hi
After a month long evaluation of Reporting Services my company has only one
more question left. Will there ever be a stand alone Report Designer for
Reporting Services (one that can be used without VS)?

ShawnKindof. You will not be required to buy VS. Yukon will ship with VS/Report
Designer combo. So, VS will still be there it is just that Yukon ships with
the VS/Report Designer installation.
Keep in mind that even today it can be any version of VS. For instance if
you buy VB.net it is only $100.

RS2005 will have a new component called Report Builder in addition to Report
Designer. More information on Report Builder is available here:

More detailed information on Report Builder will be available closer to RS

reporting tool, ActiveViews, which can be used to build reports:
